Well, we did the coves today and Hank only beat me by about an hour. Its OK though; nobody will remember this by next week right? Plus he was cutting corners but decency wouldn’t allow me pointing it out. There should be speed limit against those guys. Great job Hank! (Did I mention he was swimming with broken ribs?)

Swim at the Jetty 4:30(pm). Looow swell, friendly breeze, perhaps even sunshine and warming water.

Jetty tomorrow at 10. It will be a hot day – sounds like a good idea to pre-chill. If 10am doesn’t work for you, let me know; we’ll try to adjust.

Jetty tomorrow at 4:30. There should be a nice swell with long periods and mild(ish) NW wind. The water is getting warmer too so we can hide from the windchill.

Just got word from John’s Mom; the surgery went very well! The surgeon (Dr Chang) is very pleased. A bit of light.

Jetty on Wednesday at 2. Semi choppy with moderate wind in the forecast. Consider wetsuit if sub 50 is not your thing.

Just swam at Aquatic Park. Balcuttha thermometer was 50.2 Flag was 54.0
Jeff Gunderson and I were in for over 40 minutes. We swam out the opening for beautiful view of GGB and Ft Point. Water in bay was noticeably colder than the Park. I prefer the sauna to the beach run after swimming in these chilly waters. -

Jetty Saturday at 10:30. Wind might slow down and water temp might go up. If you’ve missed the fun yesterday, this is your chance to catch up.

Swim at the Jetty this Wednesday the 29th. Might be raining but we only have the chance to swim on Nicole’s B’day once in every four years so….

Jetty tomorrow. Should be sunny, friendly swell, semi-choppy, 10mph+ wind, water is close to 50 with windchill… wetpants advised.

Jetty on Wednesday at 2. Expect high surf with some texture – bring your wetsuit just in case.

Point-to-point from Dunes to Kelly on Sunday at 11. Prediction is for semi glassy(ish) conditions. We’ll meet at Kelly parking at 10:40. This might still get canceled due to water quality concerns so stay tuned.

A slight change in plans. We’ll meet at 11:30 tomorrow at the Kelly parking. Our water quality experts (John and Nicole) gave their OK, so it’s a go.

Well, this was one of the best ones. From Roosevelt to Kelly, sunshine, mostly glassy, slight tail wind, happy landing.
